Ultralight Bushmen soft shackles 10kN - Orange

Strength of 10 kN with a mere weight of 4 grams. Achieving such unique parameters is possible due to using a 3mm high-density nylon cord and an appropriate knot creating the soft shackle. Its usage requires a bit more experience than a classic carabiner, but it offers significant weight savings and numerous additional functionalities.

Soft shackles are available in several colors, allowing for discreet identification of hammock ends, which can be quite helpful at times. Carrying them as bracelets is a convenient transport method. Soft shackles are an excellent solution for ultralight travel enthusiasts.

Applications:

Connector/Carabiner - Classically replaces heavy carabiners or shackles as a connector. The soft shackle is 5 times lighter than an aluminum hammock carabiner and 10 times lighter than a steel carabiner.

Hammock Loops - By substituting loops at hammock ends, you can reduce its weight by around 10%. Additionally, the knob at the end of the shackle serves as an excellent connector with the Whoopie sling. This clever combination eliminates carabiners and saves another ~10% of the hammock's weight.

Stoppers - The distinctive construction of the soft shackle allows it to be successfully used as a loop, such as creating Prusik knots.

Clips - Soft shackles work superbly as clips in the molle/palls system when you want to attach or suspend something.

You can fasten the soft shackle in two ways:

• Thread the free end of the loop under the knob, then place it over the knob.
• Tie a "bowline knot" on the knob with the free end of the loop.

Remember!

• Using different types of fastenings may cause the shackle to function improperly.
• Shackles are hand-braided and may slightly differ from each other.
